Estria Invitation Graffiti Battle

The 5th Annual Estria Invitational Graffiti Battle will bring together twelve of Hawaii's top artists for a one day battle to see who rises above the rest. The battle has already been to New York and Los Angeles, with Honolulu being the final stop before the grand finale. The first and second place winners from each city will advance to Oakland, CA for the final battle.

Along with the art battle, there will be a variety of workshops on the history of graffiti, calligraphy, graphic design, a T-shirt stencil workshop and a blackbook battle. There will also be performances by local youth poets, breakdancers, DJ’s, and more.

This free family event goes down this Saturday form 12pm-7pm at the Honolulu Academy of Arts (1111 Victoria Street, Honolulu, HI).

NEW! Fitted Hawaii "Smoking Section" x Kamehameha

A few things dropping this Saturday at the Fitted Hawaii shop. First up is a new Kamehameha. Draped in a gray linen/cotton, this hat has a repeating pattern of triangles, matched up with a red Kamehameha logo and black New Era flag, Fitted crest and Fitted crown.

Also releasing is a shirt called "Smoking Section" which plays up the classic Phillies Blunt logo. Black shirt with the "Smoking Section 2004" script on the left chest and the word HAWAIIANS in the iconic logo on the back.

Eat The Street: August

Eat The Street, Hawaii's original food truck rally, is back for this month and will be bringing a "heat" theme with them. All participants in this month's rally will have at least one dish related to the theme, so you could be in for a spicy surprise when biting into food this Friday.

Also going down is the next round in the lightsleepers Inkspills live art battle. This round is Evolve1 vs. Mike Neely.

A pepper eating contest and Shogunai DJ crew providing the sounds round out the event.
